At Songbird Yarra Junction, our approach is shaped by the rhythms of nature and the needs of our local families. Our environments are open, warm, and inviting—featuring large outdoor play areas inspired by the surrounding bushland, quiet spaces for rest and reflection, and thoughtfully curated indoor rooms that support creativity and connection. Our experienced team delivers a play-based, child-led curriculum that encourages children to explore their world, build strong relationships, and develop a lifelong love of learning. We provide all meals, nappies and linen, offer a government-funded kindergarten program, and support children from 6 weeks to school age with consistency, care, and genuine warmth. Sustainability is woven into our everyday practice, and we celebrate the diversity of our community through inclusive programs, respectful partnerships with families, and a commitment to place-based learning.

Meet the Centre Manager
With over 10 years of experience in early childhood education and care, Rebecca Kneebone brings a wealth of knowledge, passion, and dedication to her role as Centre Manager. She holds a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, and her deep understanding of the sector allows her to support children, families, and educators with expertise and empathy.
Rebecca is known for her hands-on approach and unwavering commitment to nurturing a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment. She leads with integrity and heart, fostering a positive team culture built on collaboration, trust, and professional growth.
Beyond the centre, Rebecca is a proud cricket and car enthusiast and a dedicated Richmond Tigers fan (we promise we don’t hold that against her!). Her approachable nature, sense of humour, and strong leadership make her a favourite among staff and families alike.
Whether she’s mentoring educators, building family partnerships, or ensuring the smooth daily operation of the centre, Rebecca’s passion for early learning and commitment to excellence shine in all she does. We’re incredibly lucky to have her at the helm of our team.
