At Songbird Yarra Junction, our approach is shaped by the rhythms of nature and the needs of our local families. Our environments are open, warm, and inviting—featuring large outdoor play areas inspired by the surrounding bushland, quiet spaces for rest and reflection, and thoughtfully curated indoor rooms that support creativity and connection. Our experienced team delivers a play-based, child-led curriculum that encourages children to explore their world, build strong relationships, and develop a lifelong love of learning. We provide all meals, nappies and linen, offer a government-funded kindergarten program, and support children from 6 weeks to school age with consistency, care, and genuine warmth. Sustainability is woven into our everyday practice, and we celebrate the diversity of our community through inclusive programs, respectful partnerships with families, and a commitment to place-based learning.

Meet Emma our Relationship Manager
Emma has been working in early childhood education since 2006 and has loved being part of children’s early learning journeys. She believes there is something incredibly special about watching children grow, discover their interests, build confidence and celebrate their milestones.
Throughout her career, Emma has worked with children of all ages, from babies through to funded kindergarten, including supporting children who may need additional guidance. She has also worked in a variety of roles, including Cook, Room Leader and Educational Leader. These experiences have given her a wonderful understanding of what helps create a nurturing, welcoming and supportive early learning environment.
Emma believes every child deserves to feel safe, included, valued and celebrated for who they are. She is passionate about creating environments where children can learn at their own pace, follow their interests, explore, take risks and simply have a go.
Emma is also a strong believer in outdoor play and learning. She loves seeing children get messy, explore nature, be active, use their imagination and enjoy being children. These experiences build confidence, resilience, independence and a sense of wonder.
As Relationship Manager at Songbird, Emma is passionate about supporting our educators, building genuine relationships with families and creating a strong sense of belonging.
Most importantly, Emma wants Songbird to feel like more than just a place children attend each day. She wants it to be a warm, welcoming community where children feel they belong, families feel heard and educators feel proud to be part of the team.
